Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Lead to join our Federal Government client based in the Adelaide CBD. This is a great opportunity paying $58-70 per hour plus 11.0% superannuation.

The Role:

The Digital and Project Services team supports the Registrar by working closely with the Department’s ICT developers and a range of internal and external stakeholders to maintain and enhance the Registry system and supporting applications.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Digital and Project Services, the Project Delivery Lead will assist in achieving business goals by efficiently planning, coordinating tasks, and addressing obstacles to ensure that the team successfully completes strategically prioritized projects.  You be working within various streams of work, supporting the Director with reporting and business management functionality of these projects.
 
Key Outcomes required of the role:

  • Driving the delivery of specific business objectives through effective planning, co-ordination of activities, and assisting in the removal of impediments for the team where possible.
  • Conceptualising and leading the development and implementation of delivery plans, ensuring appropriate workforce planning and resourcing activities are taking place, working closely with the Director and the team to do so.
  • Monitoring and measuring progress against delivery and service performance across teams.
  • Preparation of reports, briefings, project plans, risk plans and all other project documentation as required.
  • Assisting with the proactive identification, management and escalation of key dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Undertaking and supporting procurement and contracting activities as required.
  • Understanding the Registery system that is being created on a technical level to advise and assist with team progression internally and for external counterparts.
  • High level internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Developing client-ready documents, including delivery of powerful, effective client presentations.
  • Providing high level of support for the Registrar, senior management, team members.
  • Perform other duties as requested, consistent with the classification of the position and in line with the principle of multi-skilling and professional development.
  • Promoting a dynamic and positive culture within the team.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Extensive large scale project management IT delivery experience.
  • Proven background working with Agile delivery teams.
  • Proven experience leading and implementing initiatives to deliver required outcomes to quality standards.
  • Proven ability to anticipate and establish priorities, monitor progress and work to deliver required outcomes within set timeframes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including running briefing meetings, delivering presentations, and compiling reports and briefs for executive staff.
  • Exceptional time management capability, and team prioritisation and delegation experience; including being a strong multitasker, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders to achieve results.
  • Previous experience working within a Commonwealth Government environment would be highly desirable.
