Project Manager (Infrastructure) - State Government Client - 3 months with possible extension – Perth CBD – ASAP Start 

Our state government client is seeking an experienced Project Manager within the Infrastructure Development team for a short-term contract.

Title: Project Manager (Level 7) 

Rate: Candidates will be submitted at their desired rate based on experience. 
Location: Perth CBD 
Start: ASAP 
Duration: 19 March to 27 June 2025 with possibility of short-term extension 
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate) 

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Supports the implementation of strategies involving infrastructure and economic development; defence industry growth and manages governance to support project objectives. 
  • Delivers project outcomes by identifying timeframes, resources and managing risks, potentially across a number of concurrent projects. 
  • Builds networks and develops collaborative relationships internally and between Industry, Government, community and other stakeholders in support of assigned projects. 
  • Represents the State in discussions and negotiations with senior management from industry, government agencies, community another stakeholder. 
  • Analyses project proposals and business cases and advises on technical matters that impact on project delivery or strategic objectives. 
  • Researches, evaluates and provides advice to government, industry and stakeholders on investment attraction initiatives, government approvals and development projects of state significance (including Strategic Industrial Areas). 
  • Prepares and reviews letters, drafts Briefing Notes, Ministerial and Cabinet documents, business cases, etc. 
  • Coordinates and undertakes programs and projects which grow defence industry and enabling infrastructure. 
ABOUT YOU 
Essential 
  • Project management experience is essential, with demonstrated capabilities in managing and leading teams, contract management and managing diverse stakeholders. 
Desirable 
  • Whilst we would prefer that the candidate has experience in managing complex economic development or infrastructure projects and writing for government, these are not essential. 
  • The most suitable candidate would have experience working with or in government and the private sector. 
  • Military service and/or experience working in the defence industry would be of benefit. 
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS 
  • Full working rights within Australia 
  • Current National Police Clearance or able to obtain if successful
