We are seeking an experienced Rail Systems Engineer to join our State Government client initially for 6 months. This is a great opportunity to work on high-impact rail infrastructure projects in Western Australia, delivering essential communications and control systems across the our client's network.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and support projects involving the development, replacement, and commissioning of communication and control systems
- Support entry into service and testing activities (as a Test Engineer or Witnessing Engineer)
- Assist in design reviews, technical documentation, and liaise with contractors and stakeholders
- Provide site support, investigate system issues, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety codes
- Contribute to project management, budgeting, reporting, and procurement processes
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
- A degree in Engineering or qualifications meeting IEAust (Engineers Australia) standards
- Proven experience in the design, commissioning, or maintenance of communications or control systems infrastructure
- Familiarity with project and contract management in technical environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Analytical problem-solving ability with solid research and evaluation skills
- National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
- Ability to meet physical and safety requirements including:
- Individual Access (IA) Track Access Permit
- OHS Training
- Basic Workplace First Aid Level 2
