Job description

Our state government client is currently seeking a Reporting Analyst for a 2 month assignment in the Perth CBD starting ASAP.

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for:
  • Establishing internal and external reporting frameworks and regimes to report performance.
  • Leading and managing the development and provision of optimal customer focused Employee Services (ES) data reporting solutions in alignment with service level agreements (SLA), key performance indicators (KPI), compliance standards, and regulations.
  • Analysing and reporting on ES recruitment and workflow activities and applying business analytics practices to gain meaningful insights to improve performance, drive continuous improvements and inform decision making.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a highly responsive and proactive customer focused service by understanding the customers’ needs, providing advice and guidance, being proactive, offering solutions and resolving any queries.
  • Lead and manage the development, review, monitoring and provision of an optimal reporting solutions for customers in alignment with service SLAs, KPIs, compliance standards, and regulations.
  • Analyse and report on ES workflow activities and apply data analytics practices to gain meaningful insights to improve performance, drive continuous improvements and inform decision making.
  • Establish internal and external reporting frameworks and regimes to report performance against KPIs and SLAs.
  • Plan, organise and conduct analysis to monitor quality assurance statistics, identify trends and issues and report them to ES leadership team.
  • Provide data extracts and data insights to the Assurance and Knowledge Management Quality Assurance Consultants.
  • Review data structures, data quality and control mechanisms on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and maintain data visualisation platforms/dashboards, working with software such as Microsoft Power BI, Oracle SQL Developer, to deliver products that are easy to interpret and user friendly.
  • Provide training and support to internal and external customers in the use of reporting tool sets.
  • Provide expert advice in relation to the analysis, trends and interpretation of data.
  • Assist in benchmarking exercises and analysis of resultant data.
  • Develop, review and evaluate performance measures.
  • Consult and collaborate with others in the development and management of performance and reporting initiatives/systems used to monitor the business performance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of business improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key activities and workload.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ES projects and initiatives including identifying opportunities for improvements and proposing solutions.

Essential Criteria:
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to deliver a responsive customer focused service with a personal commitment to continually achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated well developed conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and experience applying business analytics practices and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing data visualisation platforms and working with various dashboard software, to deliver products that are easy and user friendly to gain meaningful insights to improve performance, drive continuous improvements and inform decision making.
  • Comprehensive data extraction skills and experience, such as Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and manage collaborative relationships with internal and external customers, business partners and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate findings/results in a clear and concise manner.

Desirable Criteria:
  • Sound knowledge of database management principles and relevant reporting and dashboard software tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Extensive experience in data cleansing, validation, extraction, translation, loading and reconciliation.
  • Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks for data confidentiality and privacy and how the underlying legislative obligations impact on the organisation’s employment and service delivery.
  • Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.
