Payroll Officer – SAP Payroll
Are you an experienced SAP Payroll professional looking to join a dynamic and supportive team? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll operations for a large and diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the end-to-end payroll process for a workforce of 2,000+ employees on a fortnightly basis
  • Maintaining payroll systems and ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date
  • Providing timely, professional responses to payroll enquiries from employees and management
  • Monitoring and managing leave balances, sick leave, and overtime reporting
  • Interpreting and applying relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and contracts, including overtime and shift allowances
  • Preparing payroll reports to meet internal requirements and statutory obligations
  • Calculating and processing termination payments, salary changes, and back pay
  • Administering superannuation, workers compensation, and other payroll-related deductions
  • Coordinating salary packaging arrangements and liaising with external providers
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Mandatory experience with SAP Payroll
  • Hands-on experience with time and attendance systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent numerical aptitude with strong data entry, reconciliation, and accuracy skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sound knowledge of payroll legislation and award interpretation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • 3–5 years’ experience in payroll processing and administration
  • Experience in the health, not-for-profit, or community services sector (highly regarded)
  • Knowledge of Preceda and SAP systems (desirable)
  • A relevant degree or qualification (desirable)
