Senior AWS Developer
Location – Sydney
6 Months Contract
Pay rate- upto $1000 - $1050 + super per day
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking a Senior AWS Developer for our state government client.
 
Primary purpose of the role
 
Responsibilities – AWS Platform
  • Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions on AWS platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design integration solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Build cloud-native REST and HTTP APIs using services such as Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and AWS messaging services – SNS, SQS, EventBridge.
  • Design and develop ETL processes in AWS Glue to migrate data from external sources such as SQL Server, S3, and ORC/Parquet/text files into Aurora/Relational Database.
  • Develop application design around domain models, middleware, data access layers, adapters, and services.
Key Responsibilities - MS Azure Platform
  • Design, develop and maintain ETL processing for Azure Synapse Analytics (using Azure Data Factory/Synapse Pipelines, Spark Notebooks, SSIS, PolyBase, Stream Analytics).
  • Design, develop and maintain ETL processing using AWS Glue to extract data from various sources, transform it to meet business requirements, and load it into target Aurora data sources.
  • Integrate AWS Glue with other AWS services like AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Redshift, SQL server, Oracle DB, and more to facilitate seamless data integration across the cloud ecosystem.
  • Assess the provision of data to downstream solution components, including designing and implementing interfaces across varied environments
 
Key Responsibilities - Salesforce Integration
  • Experience in integrating with Salesforce platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization between systems.
  • Design and develop APIs to interface with Salesforce, leveraging REST , SOAP protocols and Salesforce Private connect.
  • Implement Salesforce integration best practices, ensuring scalability and maintainability of solutions.
Mandatory Deliverables
  • Design technical implementation for data and grants calculations.
  • Present technical design across various team forums as deemed appropriate.
  • Build and hands-on with technical development associated with data and grants calculations.
  • Document technical design and details in DoE-provided Confluence sites.
  • Document technical risks in DoE-provided JIRA risk management system.
  • Review and groom user stories in JIRA from technical sub-tasks and component-level details.
  • Get Enterprise Architecture approval on major design elements across the data and grants calculations.
  • Estimate technical delivery tasks across the data and grants calculation squad.
  • Allocate technical work to other technical resources (if required) in the data and grants calculation squad.
  • Plan, review, and support the design of test cases, working closely with the assigned tester in the squad.
