Job description

  • 12-month contract, with 2 extensions possible
  • ACT preferred, other locations considered
  • Competitive rates, negotiable based on experience
  • Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
  • Proven experience in vessel safety or related regulated industries (e.g., road, air, maritime)
Our client is a Federal Government body that is responsible ensuring the safety of maritime vessel operations, combating marine pollution, and search and rescue nationally.  

They are seeking 2 x Senior Business Analysts to support a range of high-priority regulatory projects.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Delivering business analysis and business solution design
  • Developing high-level and detailed functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, and scenarios
  • Analysing and mapping business processes, user pathways, and information flows
  • Acting as the conduit between stakeholders, project teams, and IT resources
  • Supporting legislative change through business requirements and solutions
  • Producing high-quality documentation, including guidelines, process maps, and procedures
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across IT
Must-Have Criteria:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering business analyst services in Federal or State Government projects
  • Proven experience in technical writing, including requirements, guidelines, process maps, and procedures
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and build effective relationships
  • Holds a Business Analyst certification aligned with relevant industry standards
  • Experience supporting solutions that enable legislative or regulatory change
  • Demonstrated experience working in vessel safety, or in comparable regulated industries (e.g. road, air, maritime)
