The Role

The Senior Project Manager is an experienced and motivated individual.  Results driven, the Senior Project Manager will project manage and provide high level advice and support on several concurrent activities for the planning and delivery of various land development projects.
Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery, from inception to project completion, of studies, reports, designs, and advice relating to land development projects.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Project manage elements of multiple greenfield projects against key performance indicators such as release of land, achieving settlement and Government revenue targets and controlling costs.
  • Managing key stakeholders associated with project delivery, including Government Directorates and Agencies, community groups, business and industry groups, Executive and Board.
  • Delivering on the Territory’s Greenfield agenda, including delivery of affordable living, a safe and healthy population, social inclusion, housing choice and environmental sustainability.
  • Managing relevant approvals, including planning, environmental, development, detailed design approvals and construction outcomes.
  • Identify and analyses risks, develop associated risk management plans and undertake regular risk reviews for all projects, in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
  • Manage, supervise, and lead a multi-disciplinary team of stakeholders including staff, consultants, and contractors to deliver the key objectives effectively and efficiently in accordance with the strategic objectives of Government.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated strong experience in project management and high-level advice and support of complex land development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality outputs within tight timeframes. Managing workload priorities, working to multiple deadlines, and delivering high quality outputs and advice to the management.
  • Excellent liaison and communication skills, both orally and in writing with the ability to excise sound judgment and solve problems.
  • Well-developed probity and project governance experience in procurement, contract management and Government processes.
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking on contemporary Greenfields approaches
