Senior Solution Architect
Contract duration: Initial end of June plus extension
Daily Rate: $1100 - $1200 per day + super
Location – NSW
 
DFP Recruitment is urgently seeking a Senior Solution Architect for our state government Client.
 
Primary purpose of the role
 
The primary purpose of the role is to develop solutions for designated business units within the context of the overall Architecture frameworks. The role acts as an important link between the business units and IT in ensuring that solutions are designed to meet business/user requirements while also aligning to the overall IT architecture and security frameworks.
 
Key accountabilities
  • Identify, develop and design business improvement solutions on proposed and completed projects and identify opportunities and options for improving investment planning and delivery processes, developing proposals to senior management to address high priority issues.
  • Contribute to maintaining and ensuring alignment with the Architecture framework and roadmaps across the department.
  • Provide high level input to and assist with the effective implementation of a comprehensive architecture plan addressing all elements of the architectural framework ensuring that it is aligned to the IT architectural goals and technology roadmap.
  • Provide comprehensive technical reports defining and describing the business solutions architecture and relative methodologies and activities required for its maintenance and support.
  • Assist Project Managers in the preparation and evaluation of tenders for solutions and provide Project Managers with technical advice for the procurement of any items associated with network/infrastructure, in consultation with the outsourced partner.
  • Develop business cases which define potential benefits, options or solutions for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks. Identify stakeholders and their business need.
Skills
  • Managing complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests.
  • Contribute to policies that balance complex and multiple issues with sensitivity to relationships with stakeholders, and service delivery impacts.
