Job description

DFP Recruitment are looking to fill multiple Sourcing Specialist roles which have come about by client demand.
 
Currently we have 4 positions we are looking to fill both on a permanent and temporary basis.
 
These positions are in Perth's CBD and our client is looking for applicants who can start quickly.
 
About the role
 
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for increasing value by improving safety, service, quality and compliance outcomes whilst reducing risk and costs across our client's portfolio of contracts.
This includes the creation and handover at award of contracts, executing the sourcing strategy and the formation and execution of commercially suitable commercial agreements to maximise the value derived from the contracts.
 
 
You will be responsible for:
  • Medium/high risk source to contract activities to achieve the best commercial outcome for our client.
  • This includes sourcing strategy development and execution, issuing tenders to the market, reviewing and evaluating tenders, commercial and financial assessment, negotiation, recommendation for award and execution of commercial arrangements.
  • Contributing to executing a pipeline of costs saving opportunities.
  • Data management of sourcing related information, e-procurement tools and systems.
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies and business improvements relevant to sourcing function.
  • Lead commercially and governance for contract development and execution within compliance to policies and guidelines.
  • Manage legal documents and contracts.
  • Contributing to and support the development of a supply chain strategy, relevant to the sourcing function.
  • Contributing to and support enterprise risk management.
  • Contributing to and support the Safety, Health, Environmental and community programs.
 
You will have:
  • Sound knowledge and experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies to generate value, tender management, and procurement.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of risk and compliance management and its application with respect to procurement.
  • Demonstrated customer and results focus.
  • Well-developed influencing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and assess financial & pricing models.
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in Contract Law, Construction Law, Australian Consumer Law and related legislation and regulations.
  • Degree qualified in Procurement, Contract, Business, Finance and/or related discipline and/or suitable demonstrated experience.
  • The ability to prioritise work and critically assess own performance.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’.
