Job description

Test Analyst
 
  • 12-months contract with possible extension
  • ACT, NSW, VIC
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join our Government Client team. 
 
Role responsibilities
  • Defined the testing scope for each release or delivery, aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Planned and coordinated all test activities in collaboration with the Product Owner, covering System Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Developed comprehensive test cases for each release, ensuring full traceability to business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Conducted hands-on testing of data and reports when necessary, including defect identification, retesting, and regression testing.
  • Oversaw the entire testing process and provided leadership to the QA team, ensuring testing activities were executed according to plan.
  • Led the Data and Analytics Squad and spearheaded the implementation of a Quality Assurance (QA) framework across all projects, products, and initiatives.
 
Skills
  • At least 4 years’ experience in testing data intensive initiatives and advance analytics related initiatives/projects, reports and dashboards
  • At least 6 years’ software testing experience in leading Data and Functional/System Integration Testing
  • Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills
  • Sound understanding of ETL process and data warehousing practices
  • Proven ability in preparing test artefacts such as Test Plan, Test Execution, test cases, Test Progress Reports and Test Summary/Completion Report
  • Sound understanding of the Software Quality Assurance best practices
  • Well versed in use of JIRA as Test and Defect Management Tool, including X-ray plug-in
  • Exposed to Agile and/or Hybrid ways of project Management methodology
  • Hands-on experience on and implementation of test automation
