  • Rates: Negotiable (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Overview:
 
A Federal Government agency focused on regulating disability service providers is seeking experienced three experienced EL2-level Actuaries (Professional Stream). This senior leadership role involves oversight of complex projects, strategic planning, and delivering actuarial insights that support national policy and operational priorities.
 
Duties may include:
  • Apply actuarial and insurance techniques to forecast Scheme costs
  • Respond to modelling requests and interpret legislation
  • Maintain and enhance valuation models and reporting systems
  • Advise senior leadership on policy and statistical matters
  • Lead projects with strategic and operational impact
  • Manage data extraction, quality analysis, and statistical modelling
  • Translate data into insights aligned with agency priorities
Ideal Candidate:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Associate Actuary with strong progress toward Fellowship
  • 10–15+ years of experience in actuarial or related fields
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
