We are seeking an experienced and strategic Enterprise Architect to help shape the future of technology and digital enablement within this high-impact organisation.
About the Role

This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to join the Technology, Data and Digital Enablement Branch at a pivotal time. As the Enterprise Architect, you will play a key role in designing and delivering a technology strategy and roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives. You’ll guide architectural decision-making across major programs, uplift architectural practices, and help deliver a large-scale technology transformation.
You will contribute to both BAU and strategic initiatives, with an initial focus on a major digital transformation program aimed at enhancing architectural capability and maturity across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures, high-level designs, principles, and patterns.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to define current and future state architecture.
  • Ensure alignment with Government frameworks including ISM, PSPF, and the Essential Eight.
  • Provide architectural guidance to senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Present architecture roadmaps and proposals to governance forums and executives.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement through architectural communities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline initiatives and encourage innovation.

Essential Criteria:

  • 5+ years in Enterprise Architecture or senior technology advisory roles
  • 5+ years designing solutions within the Microsoft Azure platform
  • Proven experience in engaging with stakeholders across large-scale projects
  • Ability to align architecture practices with business needs and security requirements
  • Strong capability in producing clear and effective architecture artifacts
  • Experience in a Federal Government environment
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in a regulatory or compliance-based setting
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and case management systems
  • Exposure to organisational change management initiatives
