About the role
An opportunity is available to join a state government decision-making body in an administrative support role. This position provides essential clerical and operational support to a high-volume, customer-facing environment within the Community stream.

As an Administration Officer, you will support day-to-day operations by managing enquiries, maintaining records, processing documentation and assisting internal teams to ensure services are delivered accurately and efficiently. You will regularly interact with members of the public and internal stakeholders, often in relation to sensitive matters. This role does not involve providing legal advice.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Providing administrative support across a range of functions
  • Managing incoming calls, emails and correspondence
  • Data entry and maintenance of records in electronic systems
  • Preparing and processing routine documentation and correspondence
  • Managing shared inboxes, workflows and follow-ups
  • Supporting hearing preparation and general office coordination as required
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling information with discretion
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong administrative experience in a busy office environment
  • High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and confidence using digital systems
  • Fast and accurate data entry and typing skills (approximately 60 wpm)
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professionalism and resilience when dealing with challenging or sensitive enquiries
  • Experience in government or regulatory environments is advantageous
Pre-employment requirements
A current National Police Check must be sighted prior to commencement
