Our State Government client is currently seeking an experienced AO3/1 Business Support Officer (Travel) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the effective delivery of government services.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the business by coordinating travel requirements and providing high-quality administrative support. You will work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously, often within tight timeframes. This is a full-time, in-office role, five days per week.

- Liaising with the business and corporate travel agencies to ensure travel requirements are met within required timelines and represent value for money
- Providing efficient, professional, and high-quality customer service
- Monitoring and managing internal and external correspondence and telephone enquiries, ensuring timely responses
- Working effectively in a fast-paced environment with KPIs and performance monitoring mechanisms
- Liaising with industry representatives, local suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders to support timely service delivery
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy when preparing documents, reports, and updating records and information systems (including Microsoft Office)
- Using initiative to appropriately manage enquiries to senior staff in their absence
- Developing, maintaining, and improving procedures, manuals, and registers
- Undertaking general administrative duties as required
