Job description

On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we’re looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to design and deliver engaging, high-quality learning programs within a large, complex organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and building structured learning solutions that drive capability.

This is an assignment until 31 December 2026 with possibility of extension, the role can be based in Richmond or Geelong. 

Key responsibilities
  • Design and develop structured learning programs and course architecture
  • Lead instructional design projects from planning to evaluation
  • Develop engaging, accessible learning resources
  • Partner with stakeholders to align learning with organisational goals
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness using models such as Kirkpatrick
About you
  • Tertiary qualification in education, instructional design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong instructional design and program architecture expertise
  • Proven project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of compliance and quality standards in training
  • Experience designing inclusive and accessible learning solutions
