Join a respected State Government department in a key support role. As an AO3 Program Support Officer, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support to ensure the successful delivery of regional programs and services. This contract role is based in the North Coast Region and offers an opportunity to contribute to the improvement of essential public services in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

In this varied and dynamic role, you will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders, using a range of systems and tools to support project delivery and regional operations. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will be critical in managing a wide array of administrative responsibilities across fleet management, procurement, training coordination, onboarding, and facilities support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage vehicle fleet activities including servicing, lease tracking, logbook compliance, and fringe benefit obligations.
  • Coordinate internal resource bookings, travel, and in-house training.
  • Oversee car park allocation, courier and mail deliveries, and security/access requirements under WHS guidelines.
  • Assist with induction and onboarding processes for new employees and contractors.
  • Maintain multiple databases and registers to support compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide quality customer service via phone reception and front-desk responsibilities.
  • Support local-level operational system improvements and assist in facilities maintenance coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, WH&S, and relevant legislation.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Proficient with office systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Professional and ethical conduct with a strong customer focus.
  • Demonstrates initiative, attention to detail, and willingness to work collaboratively.
