Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for a Program Support Officer (Procurement) – AO3 level to join a dedicated project team within a Queensland State Government agency based in the North Coast Region. This role will see you provide essential procurement and administrative support to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of key projects.

As the Program Support Officer (Procurement), you will work collaboratively with project managers and procurement officers, using various software systems and databases to maintain accurate records, manage procurement activities, and assist with tendering processes. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide end-to-end procurement support to project teams, including coordinating procurement documentation and processes.
  • Engage contingent workers using the Fieldglass platform in compliance with internal procedures.
  • Maintain registers, procurement records, and prepare reports and updates as needed.
  • Assist with contract tendering and ensure all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
  • Support the procurement life cycle of assets including stocktaking, useful life review, and disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and WH&S obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Advisor (Procurement) and support broader procurement functions as required.
Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement support or project administration.
  • Strong computer literacy across MS Office and procurement platforms (Fieldglass highly desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.
Contract Details:
  • AO3 Level: $49.40 – $54.81/hr (commensurate with experience)
  • Hours: Full-time, up to 38 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 7:00am–6:00pm)
  • Location: North Coast Region
