Job description

DFP Recruitment is seeking a reliable and skilled Administrative Assistant to join a government department in Lithgow, NSW. This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone with strong administration experience and a proactive, organised approach to supporting field and office-based teams.

Role responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

·      Front desk and reception duties – greeting visitors and managing incoming enquiries

·      Providing general administration support to office and field-based staff

·      Coordinating meetings and recording accurate minutes

·      Managing group emails, data entry, reporting, and maintaining digital and physical filing systems

·      Arranging travel, accommodation, and training bookings

·      Processing purchase orders, payments, and invoices according to procurement policy

·      Ordering goods and services as required

·      Liaising with internal teams including engineers, work supervisors, and support staff

 In addition, successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

·      Minimum 3 years’ experience in administration or customer service roles

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

·      Strong written and verbal communication skills

·      Excellent time management and organisational abilities

·      Valid Class C Driver’s Licence

·      Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

·      Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player
