Our State Government client is seeking an experienced AO3 Project Support Officer to join their team based in Nerang. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful road infrastructure projects that support the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.

About the Role

The Project Support Officer provides high-level administrative and project support to Project Managers and project teams working across road infrastructure initiatives. The role plays a key part in supporting the timely and effective delivery of projects while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level administrative support including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes, and producing reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and registers.
  • Support project and financial processes including procurement documentation, contract administration systems, and approval paperwork.
  • Assist with procurement and tender activities, liaising with external stakeholders in line with government procurement frameworks.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurately compiled, tracked, recorded, and followed up to meet approval timeframes.
  • Provide administrative support to multiple Project Managers to ensure deadlines and milestones are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, governance requirements, and relevant legislation, including WH&S.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to undergo pre-employment screening, including a criminal history check

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • High-level competency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of procurement processes, with experience in procurement or finance within an infrastructure environment desirable
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset that embraces innovation and supports ethical, well-considered decision-making
  • A high level of accountability, professionalism, and attention to detail in delivering quality outcomes
