Job description

Our valued State Government client is seeking an experienced AO4 Executive Support Officer to join their team in Cannon Hill for an immediate start.

Reporting to the Director – Business Support, this critical role provides high-level executive and administrative support, contributing to the effective operation of the SEQ Operations leadership team.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing high-level administrative support to the Director, including diary and calendar management and monitoring and actioning correspondence
  • Managing the Office mailbox and prioritising enquiries
  • Coordinating meetings, including preparation and distribution of agendas, minutes and supporting documentation
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining effective administrative systems across HR, finance, asset management, performance reporting and business processes
  • Coordinating corporate services reporting including Briefing Notes, Ministerial responses, Business Cases/Submissions and Business Planning
  • Preparing, monitoring and maintaining reports and supporting section work management activities
  • Undertaking projects and business services activities as requested
  • Supporting improved work order management and service delivery outcomes

To be successful, you will have:

  • A strong administration background
  • Previous experience providing executive-level support
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • SharePoint knowledge (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Experience supporting a Senior Executive (preferred)
  • Ability to commence immediately
