We are looking for a Marketing and Partnerships Officer to join our Engagement and Partnerships team and help deliver some of Queensland’s most high-profile events, awards and programs.
In this role, you will use your project management and communication expertise to design and implement dynamic campaigns that celebrate Queensland’s identity and achievements. You will also play a vital role in sponsorship acquisition and relationship management to support the success of these initiatives.
You will contribute to major events such as Australia Day, Australian of the Year Awards, Queensland Day, Queensland Greats Awards, Queensland Reconciliation Awards, and the Premier’s Awards for Excellence, along with a range of other key programs.
This is a contract role, initially for 8 weeks, which may be extended. At AO5 level, this role is paying $66.86 per hour + super and will be located in the Brisbane CBD office.

What you’ll do:
- Develop and coordinate innovative communication and marketing campaigns across digital, social and traditional platforms.
- Produce engaging assets and content including video, websites, social media, newsletters, sponsorship proposals and campaign reports.
- Manage social media content calendars and campaign activity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, media partners, creative suppliers and government stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field (desirable).
- Strong skills in written and verbal communication, negotiation and relationship building.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and solutions.
- Adaptable, collaborative and outcomes-focused, with a high standard of professionalism.
- Willingness to occasionally work outside standard business hours.
