We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join a State Government department based in Cannon Hill. This role will support the delivery of procurement services and provide expert advice in line with the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP).

Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate procurement strategies and QPP requirements to staff, facilitating changes to traditional procurement practices through training and education.
- Prepare tenders across categories including construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrades, applying evaluation and regulatory techniques.
- Implement local procurement practices to achieve cost efficiencies and compliance with QPP.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and performance standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of medium and major building contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all procurement-related legislation, policies, and delegations.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, including coordination of responses to escalated customer queries.
About You:
- Strong knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy and government procurement processes.
- Proven experience preparing tenders and managing supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
