About the role
The APS6 Finance Officer will provide administrative and operational support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in finance related matters and may undertake some research and analysis activities. It is a public contact role and may be required to communicate with and provide advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Analysing and interpreting statistical reports to assist with the development of work plans and strategic planning.
  • Aiding with the scheme debt register, system cancelled debts and unrecovered debts.
  • Preparing invoices, payment request cancellation, collecting banking cheques in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Extracting data, preparing reports for Compensation and Freedom of Information requests.
  • Analysing data from SAP and other data systems for management reporting.
  • Assisting with queries regarding pending PSCD payments and bank account issues.
  • Exercising appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
Skills and Experience
Applicants must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position.
  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal skills and has an aptitude for collaboration and negotiation with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Has a high attention to detail and a focus on delivery in a fast paced environment.
  • Be accountable and be a leader to the team.
  • Evaluation report, and support adjustments arising from negotiations.
  • Experience in managing, coordinating, and dealing with conflicts, complex situation, and information.
