The Opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced APS4 Finance Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in Geelong. This is a 12 month assignment and will be paying $42.54 per hour plus super. 

The APS4 Finance Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex finance-related activities guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents. Specifically around the usage of SAP-based accounting information systems and customer relationship management technologies.

Responsibilities include;
  • Facilitation transaction processing in the systems to ensure financial data is accurate and complete
  • Extract and analyse data from SAP and other financial systems 
  • Prepare accurate and timely management reports as required
  • Provide input into the development of standard operating procedure for the team, including process mapping requirements
  • Working with key stakeholders to support various project initiatives 
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate; 
  • Experience in financial governance 
  • Highly-developed skills in compliance reporting 
  • Ability to interpret and transform data into presentable dashboards
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Accounting qualifications or study towards them 
  • Experience working in a Federal Government financial environment
