An Australian Government agency is seeking an experienced APS5 Case Manager (Program Officer) to support the administration of a national medical workforce program. This program plays a key role in improving access to medical professionals in regional, rural and remote communities across Australia.
The role involves managing a caseload of program participants, applying legislation and policy frameworks, and working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate and fair outcomes.

Under limited direction, you will:
- Case manage program participants in accordance with legislative and policy requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on policy, program and operational matters.
- Apply sound judgement to make recommendations based on policies, procedures and best practice.
- Prepare high-quality briefs, correspondence, reports and other documentation.
- Contribute to setting work priorities, monitoring workflow and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support broader program administration activities as required.
- Experience in program implementation and/or case management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- The ability to apply judgement and subject matter knowledge to policy and program decisions.
- A strong sense of accountability and the ability to contribute positively to team outcomes.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A broad understanding of the Australian health system and government operating environments.
- Duties are performed from government offices in Brisbane or Canberra.
- Flexible working arrangements, including limited remote work, may be negotiated on commencement.
- The role operates in a professional, collaborative team environment.
- Be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made.
