Job description

  • Federal Government Opportunities for APS5 and APS6 in Newcastle!
  • APS5 Guidance Officer Position: $55.24 per hour + super
  • APS6 Guidance Lead: $60.26 per hour + super
  • 12-month contract with the possibility of extension
  • WFH arrangements (2 days WFH)
Responsibilities for APS5 Guidance Officer:
  • Undertake moderately complex to complex work.
  • Guide adherence to legislation, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Research, draft, and update guidance material.
  • Interpret policy and legislative environment.
  • Provide service delivery knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interpret and draft clear guidance material.
  • Handle multiple priorities under limited supervision.
  • Desirable: Confluence and JIRA experience.
Responsibilities for APS6 Guidance Lead:
  • Lead the development of internal and external guidance.
  • Analyse data and systems for evidence-based information.
  • Initiate and maintain strong relationships.
  • Represent the team as a subject matter expert.
  • Manage multiple priorities with high standards.
  • Work in the Guidance and Practice team.
  • Interpret legislation and policy, create guidance documents.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Undertake data and system analysis.
  • Manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Solve complex problems under limited direction.
  • Desirable: Confluence and JIRA experience.
