Job description

The Opportunity 

On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency we are looking for an APS5 Project Officer to join the provider and market team. This is a 12 month assignment based in Geelong. 

The Project Officer will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues and will liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders. 

Responsibilities include; 
  • Being a contact for providers 
  • Work with stakeholders, including State and Local Governments and at times taking the lead on specific issues 
  • Engage providers to ensure satisfaction is experienced at each interaction 
  • Manage risks associated with stakeholder relationships through a proactive approach 
  • Support the development and promotion of resources that enable development and understanding of the environment and experience 
  • Provide specific input into ministerial and parliamentary correspondence, reports and briefs 
  • Undertake project management and delivery of provider engagement approaches 
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy 
  • Experience in engagement and building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Office and SharePoint
