Contract Opportunity – APS6 Technical Advisory (Contract until 31 December 2026)
Rate: $60.26 per hour
An established Federal agency is seeking a skilled APS6 Technical Advisory professional to provide expert guidance on complex cases, operational support, and policy implementation. This role involves offering high-quality technical and clinical advice, coaching and mentoring team members, and supporting decision-making aligned with legislative and policy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist technical and operational advice for complex and novel cases.
  • Support team capability building and mentor junior staff.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, delegates, and partners to ensure consistent outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal advice, maintaining accurate records.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Degree or advanced diploma in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Nursing (AHPRA-eligible), Mental Health, Audiology, Prosthetics & Orthotics, or related Allied Health/Behavioural Support fields.
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Critical thinking, decision-making, and adaptability.
  • Experience in clinical or allied health advisory roles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and confidentiality.
Desirable:
  • Disability, hospital, or aged care experience.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality systemic and individual-level clinical advice.
