Job description

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional with background in learning and development to join our team as the Workforce Capability Manager for a 4-month temporary opportunity. Leading and supporting a variety of workforce planning activities, this pivotal role will see you:
  • Provide strategic advice on capability development initiatives, significantly contributing to the development of workforce development strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive organisation-wide training needs assessments to identify skills or knowledge gaps, and develop annual training plans.
  • Consult and collaborate with managers, employees, and external entities to design and deliver relevant workplace training and development programs.
  • Design and develop training programs, both outsourced and in-house.
  • Coordinate and manage the training program.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it serves as the central point for staff to access training information.
  • Coordinate and manage the entry-level programs, including sourcing appropriate programs, liaising with service providers and internal stakeholders, and supporting participants in these programs.
 The Person
 
The suitable candidate will be agile and adaptive in the way they work, open to change and willing to explore innovative ways of working.   • A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience using Acorn Learning Management System (LMS) or similar software system.
  • Experience and skills in designing, developing and implementing learning and development strategies, programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in developing e-learning programs. 
This is a 4-month assignment based in Townsville (Flexible work arrangements available for the right applicant).  Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship and current National Police Clearance.
