Job description

  • Role: Claims Advisory Analyst
  • Location: Hybrid – Barangaroo, Sydney (3 days in office)
  • Contract Length: Until June 2026
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours/week
  • Pay Rate: $400/day + super
Are you a detail-oriented claims professional with 3-5 years’ insurance background and experience in Property and Liability claims? This role offers the chance to work with middle-market to large clients, ensuring the effective handling of medium-value and moderately complex claims.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review incoming claim notifications and documentation; identify potential issues and escalate as required
  • Determine coverage for medium complexity claims and liaise with insurers to support clients
  • Ensure adherence to claims protocols and support efficient claim resolution
  • Manage policy interpretation and seek advice for uncertain coverage areas
  • Handle client queries related to specific claims, providing timely updates and issue resolution
  • Communicate with insurers, clients, and internal teams for updates, instructions, and reporting
  • Assist in claims collection from insurers and maintain accurate records of settlements
  • Support Claims Advocates by escalating technical or complex matters as needed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • 3-5 years insurance background, ideally in Property and Liability claims
  • Experience handling escalations in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of insurance policy coverage and claims processes
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently on medium-value claims and collaborate with the team
  • Well-organised with attention to detail and strong time management
