We are partnering with a State Government client to recruit an experienced ASO5 Test Analyst for a full‑time contract role within a major Finance Reform Program (FRP), commencing ASAP through to 30 June 2026.
About the Program
The Finance Reform Program (FRP) is a large‑scale, whole‑of‑government initiative to replace a long‑standing financial management system with a contemporary solution and standardised, best‑practice business processes.
This program will significantly change how finance activities are delivered across most SA Government agencies (excluding SA Health), impacting finance, ICT and operational teams.
About the Role
The Test Analyst will support the Test Lead by contributing to the testing of the future financial management system and associated business processes. The role focuses on ensuring functional and technical requirements are met and acceptance criteria achieved within agreed timeframes.
You will work closely with program, technical and agency stakeholders across all phases of testing in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of high‑quality testing of the future system configuration and business processes
- Contribute to the management and execution of test plans and schedules across all test phases, including System Testing, SIT and UAT
- Prepare and execute end‑to‑end testing, including test data preparation and loading
- Create, update and maintain test scenarios and test scripts in collaboration with program and agency stakeholders
- Participate in daily testing calls and defect triage meetings
- Execute testing activities, record results and maintain test schedules
- Identify, analyse, document and escalate defects and issues as required
- Maintain accurate project records in line with the State Records Act 1997
- Contribute to Public Sector principles including Equal Opportunity, Work Health and Safety and cultural inclusion
You will demonstrate:
- General knowledge of finance business processes in a complex environment
- General IT experience with an understanding of testing methods and techniques
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to work under limited supervision and meet deadlines in a complex environment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with changing priorities
- Experience applying relevant legislation, policies and procedures including Code of Ethics, EEO and cultural inclusion
- Understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012
- Understanding of AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management – Guidelines
