The Role
As the Assistant Director - Treasury and Accounts Receivable, you will report to the Director of Financial Operations and oversee multiple financial operations functions, including Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Travel.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading, supervising and mentoring a small, high performing team
- Providing technical and strategic advice on financial operational matters
- Managing workload priorities and quality assurance
- Supporting policy development and leading process improvements
- Overseeing reconciliations, journals, and financial reporting
- Maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
We are looking for a results oriented financial leader who is:
- Experienced in managing Financial Operations (5+ years
- Skilled in team leadership and staff development (3+ years)
- A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Technically sound with a deep understanding of Commonwealth financial legislation and policy
- Proficient in using financial systems and tools, including CBMS, TechnologyOne, and Microsoft Excel
- Adaptable, innovative, and committed to continuous improvement
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in financial operations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
- Australian Citizen
- S26 Transfer or an hourly rate of between $90 - $100 + super
- Training and Development
