Business Analyst
 
Initial 12 weeks contract
Location – Canberra – Onsite 5 days per week.
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a fast-paced digital transformation initiative for our state government client.

Primary purpose of the role 
  • Review current ("As-Is") business processes to find problems and create improved ("To-Be") process maps and strategies to make operations more efficient and effective.
  • Apply process mapping, business process improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure comprehensive analysis and clear documentation.
  • Facilitate workshops to develop and improve processes and procedures.
  • Partner with business units to define, document, and finalise operational procedures that reflect enhanced processes and meet business needs.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and accessible process documentation, including business process maps and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Define and document new or updated business processes in alignment with strategic and operational requirements.
  • Develop detailed process documentation, including process maps, workflows, and SOPs, to support consistent implementation.
  • Identify, assess, and document anticipated change impacts resulting from business process reviews.
  • Work with corporate systems, including Microsoft Office 365 and Miro.
 
SKILLS
  • Demonstrated experience in process analysis, business process improvement, and change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and systemically.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience with process mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with business process modelling tools and techniques is preferred.
