About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Melbourne team, with a strong focus on cyber security and change initiatives. This is a pivotal role responsible for understanding, analysing, and improving business processes and systems — particularly within cyber and risk environments — to drive informed decision-making and organisational success.
You will work closely with stakeholders, clients, technical teams, cyber specialists, and leadership to:
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, including cyber and security-related requirements
- Develop and model as-is and to-be business process maps and work instructions
- Support cyber uplift, risk remediation, and security compliance initiatives
- Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities
- Interpret data and reporting to provide actionable insights
- Lead meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
- Contribute to and manage project plans, monitoring delivery and performance
- Maintain detailed documentation to support governance, audit, and compliance requirements
- Act as a key liaison between business, technical, and cyber stakeholders
- Support change management activities within project environments
About You To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience working on cyber security projects or within cyber / information security environments
- Experience supporting risk, compliance, governance, or security uplift initiatives
- Strong experience documenting business processes, including as-is and to-be mapping
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Advanced documentation and reporting capability
- The ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment on acceptable solutions
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Experience leading or supporting project-based work
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
