Contract duration: 3 months – view to extend
Commencement: Immediate
Location: Perth.
Hours per week: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week.
Hourly rate: $50-55per hour + super. Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

Primary Objectives of the Role:

The Business Support Officer provides high-quality, proactive administrative support to the Coordinator of Booking and Online Services. This role is essential to maintaining the day-to-day operations of the booking and online services.
Key responsibilities include maintaining internal documentation and databases, assisting in policy development, contributing to quality improvement and technological innovation, and undertaking discrete projects to enhance business operations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to person-centred care, working in partnership with individuals, families, carers, and advocates to improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Support and Improvement
  • Support the implementation of the Booking Service for WA Diversion.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required.
  • Maintain and update operational content across various formats including web-based appointment diaries, templates, publications, and presentations.
  • Assist in developing and documenting internal guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Undertake delegated tasks and projects to support and improve business functions.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and development of Booking and Online Services.
Communication and Liaison:
  • Represent the Commission on committees and working groups.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate complex bookings and maintain an accurate Booking Service database.
  • Provide guidance and support to service providers to ensure compliance with legislation and policy.
  • Represent and promote the service at conferences and public events.
General
  • Stay informed on relevant trends, issues, and policies nationally and internationally.
  • Maintain records in accordance with government standards.
  • Undertake other duties and projects as required
Experience and Qualification:
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Effective organizational and planning abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Desirable
  • Experience with online databases in service delivery.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
