We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for a full-time temporary role based in Melbourne CBD, with a genuine pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate.

About the Role
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for a full-time temporary role based in Melbourne CBD, with a genuine pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate.
This role is key to managing a regional customer portfolio, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, building strong relationships, and supporting growth initiatives in partnership with internal teams. You will play a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and delivering a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full customer order lifecycle, including order entry, stock transfers, modifications, pricing, terms, freight, cancellations, and confirmations
- Handle inbound customer calls and ensure timely and accurate order processing
- Respond to customer and stakeholder enquiries regarding order status, stock availability, and delivery timelines via phone, email, and chat
- Investigate and process stock returns and credit requests in line with company policy
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align customer objectives with business goals
- Professionally handle customer complaints, escalating where necessary to ensure resolution
- Support outbound sales and marketing campaigns
- Coordinate with field teams and sites to meet customer requirements
- Analyse customer feedback and recommend improvements to processes and systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in ERP/CRM systems
- Previous experience in a customer service role involving order entry, call handling, and liaison with sales or field teams
- Experience in FMCG, agribusiness, or a similar customer-focused environment is highly regarded
- Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Availability to work on-site in Melbourne CBD
