Cyber Security Architect
Contract Duration – 18 months contract with possible extension
Location – ACT, NSW and VIC
Security clearance -Must be able to obtain NV1
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join a high-performing Federal Government team. This role requires a seasoned cyber security professional to deliver strategic, tactical and operational oversight across cyber security operations and Identity and Access Management functions, ensuring robust, resilient and forward-looking security outcomes.

This role requires a seasoned cyber security professional to deliver strategic, tactical and operational oversight across cyber security operations and Identity and Access Management functions, ensuring robust, resilient and forward-looking security outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing security patterns, SOC tools, processes and operational capabilities.
- Providing security architecture review and assurance input across systems and platforms.
- Aligning security processes and technologies to strengthen overall security outcomes.
- Identifying, planning and implementing enhancements to improve threat detection and response capabilities.
- Applying cyber threat modelling techniques and embedding secure-by-design and Zero Trust principles, including developing system-specific use cases, monitoring plans and cyber security incident response plans.
- Working with cloud security tooling and platforms including SIEM, SOAR, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security, AWS, Azure and O365.
- Operating autonomously with limited direction, identifying priorities and driving work through to completion.
- Further developing and refining solution architecture and detailed designs for cyber security capabilities.
- Communicating with influence to ensure deliverables align with corporate and organisational priorities
- Demonstrated minimum four years’ experience in a cyber solutions, cyber architecture or similar role.
- Proven experience designing security architecture within cloud environments.
- Experience developing and embedding security principles, reference architectures and reusable security patterns.
