DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to engage on a temporary contract for 7 months with our State Government client based in Joondalup.

End Date: 25/02/2025 (7 month contract with the possibility of extension)
Location: Joondalup
Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $50.00 – $67.00 per hour + Superannuation
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Develop and Maintain Reporting: Contribute to the development and maintenance of project reporting across the Approvals System Reform program of works, ensuring accurate and timely data is available.
- Enhance Data-Driven Tools: Play a key role in improving data-driven tools for the agency, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to deliver optimal outcomes for DWER.
- Support Project Management: Assist the Program Manager in developing plans for the management and implementation of projects, ensuring all deliverables are met.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to support the achievement of project outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Expertise in Power BI: Considerable experience in developing reports using Power BI, with a strong understanding of various visualizations and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
- Business Needs Translation: Proven ability to translate business needs into data requirements, producing insights and reports tailored for different audiences.
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in collecting, interpreting, and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data in complex environments to provide meaningful insights, drive improvements, and support decision-making.
- Time Management Skills: Strong ability to plan, organize, and manage competing priorities to meet tight deadlines.
- Communication Excellence: Excellent written communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively.
- Desirable: Experience with project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira is advantageous but not essential.
