Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to work in a town based position with a well established and busy organisation, on a Monday to Friday roster. 

About the role:
Reporting directly to the organisations Management Accountant, this role is responsible for accurately processing invoices for creditors payments, preparing daily reconciliations and carrying out fortnight, month and year end processes accordingly.

The successful candidate will be required to have: 
  • 12 months previous experience in a similar role
  • Sound understanding of accounts payable functions and practices
  • Ability to interpret and work to relevant policy and legislation
  • Good administrative skills and computer literacy
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • An eye for detail and accurate data entry skills 
With a 4-month contract on offer and potential opportunity for extension, our client is looking for a reliable candidate who is committed and willing to learn as required to be successful in this position.  Our client has requested the successful candidate to be able to start immediately.
