Job description

Our client located in Broome is currently looking for a Maintenance Operator to join their team immediately for 4 month's local work. The successful candidate will be participating in the day to day operations undertaking the maintenance and improvement of civil infrastructure including roads, drainage and associated assets within the Shire of Broome as well as assisting with the upgrade and renewal of civil infrastructure.

Duties
  • Undertake the maintenance and improvement of civil infrastructure including roads, drainage and civil infrastructure assets
  • Report faults and damage observed on assets to Works Supervisor/Team Leader
  • Diagnose and perform basic repairs to the Shires’ roads and assets
  • Operate and maintain plant and equipment, in accordance with safety and maintenance instructions and standards
  • Have knowledge and experience in brick paving including new installation and repair of damaged paving
  • Be able to form, pour and finish concrete

Skills and Experience
  • Minimum HR drivers licence
  • Traffic management certificate
  • Current First aid
  • Civil machinery tickets/experience in backhoe and/or loader and/or excavator
  • Concrete /bricklaying skill
