Job description

The responsibilities for this role will include:
  • Manage enquiries and interactions from patients, carers, referrers, and external parties in the clinic and via phone, email and website) 
  • Management of the business booking systems and coordination of appointment 
  • Responding appropriately to requests for urgent appointments from patients & referrers
  • Provide information and support to patients for upcoming procedures, registration of documents and outlining payment details to gain consent and understanding
  • Work with the clinic staff team to proactively facilitate efficient workflow and minimise delays for patients 
  • Invoicing and receipting for patients and Medicare as required 
  • Provide general reception services for the clinic, including answering phones and dealing with patient and customer enquiries
  • Treat patients in a caring, friendly and professional manner at all times 
  • Work to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
To be successful for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced service focused environment 
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to work across multiple systems at once
  • Professional communication skills both written and verbal
  • High level of professionalism with a focus on confidentiality and compliance.
  • Ability to display empathy with customers. 
  • Previous experience in the medical industry/understanding of medical practice or terminology high regarded  
To be successful in this role you will be available to work full time hours Monday to Friday on a rotational roster between 6am to 10.00pm.
