About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Principal Liquor Control & Arbitration Officer to join our team. In this role, you will:
  • Perform statutory duties and exercise delegated statutory authorities in accordance with applicable legislation and the DLGSC delegation framework.
  • Assess liquor license applications with precision and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Provide support to the General Manager of Liquor Control and Arbitration as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of liquor license applications.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and delegation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate smooth application processes.
  • Offer expert advice and support to the General Manager.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in liquor control, arbitration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of statutory duties and delegated authorities.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
