Contract Length: 6 month temp contract (with possibility of extension)
Start Date: Flexible, but no later than 20 March 2026
Engagement: Full-time hours

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement Officer (Level 4/5) to join our clients team on a 6-month temp contract, with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of WA Government procurement rules and processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Assist with Purchase Order creation as required
  • Undertake Request for Quote (RFQ) processes for low-value, low-risk procurement
  • Undertake CUA (Common Use Arrangement) purchases
  • Assist with Contract Extensions, Variations, and Novation’s
  • Perform additional procurement-related duties as needed to support the team’s workload
Essential Criteria
To be successful, you must have:
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to use initiative
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with WA Government Procurement Rules and Processes
  • Experience with Purchase Order creation
Desirable Criteria
The following will be highly regarded:
  • Experience using SAP or other financial systems
  • Skills in report writing and data analysis
