We are looking for dynamic and motivated APS6 Procurement specialist Officer

About the role
On behalf of a Federal Government Agency based in Canberra, we are looking for an experienced Procurement specialist / Officer until 30 June 2023 with possible extension. The APS6 Procurement Specialist Officer will provide procurement , administrative and operational support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in procurement related matters and may undertake some research and analysis activities. It is a public contact role and may be required to communicate with and provide advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
 
As the Procurement Specialist / Officer you will; 
  • Manage end to end procurement's.
  • Review and draft procurement documentation.
  • Participate in all phases of procurement as required.
  • Provide administrative support.
Skills and Experience
As this role is with Federal Government, you must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain Baseline Security Clearance
 
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate; 
  • An understanding and working knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules would be highly advantageous. 
  • Experience in procurement activities either via open tender methods or by utilising panel contracts and/or standing offers.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple procurement's simultaneously.
  • Strong skills using MS Office suite including Share-Point.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and has an aptitude for collaboration and negotiation with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Has a high attention to detail and a focus on delivery in a fast paced environment.
  • Evaluation report, and support adjustments arising from negotiations.
  • Experience in managing, coordinating, and dealing with conflicts, complex situation, and information.
