DFP Recruitment is seeking for for Project Managers who is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the agency. The EL1 Project Manager will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the agencies objectives.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Developing, managing and implementing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
  • Contributing to project design, governance arrangements and operational integration.
  • Ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Researching, reviewing and evaluating projects in specific operational or technical areas.
  • Reporting on project outputs to stakeholders and overseeing regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
  • Preparing and reviewing written material including business cases, plans, reports and executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Undertaking budget management, monitoring expenditure and overseeing procurement and contract management activities.
  • Identifying, assessing, managing, escalating and monitoring project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategies.
  • Analysing project performance and coordinating quality management activities to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

Key skills required for the role: 
  • Ability to understand complex issues and interpret data to assist in determining root-cause issues.
  • Deep understanding of Project Management and ability to use differing project tools.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage conflicting or challenging situations.
  • Expert knowledge of Jira and Confluenc
  • Detailed understanding of SAP and Salesforce CRM platforms
