  • Federal Government opportunity based in Geelong (VIC)
  • 12-month contract with possible extension
  • APS6 level - $60.26 per hour + superannuation
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid work arrangement
The Organisation:

This Government body works with people with disability, providers, and the community to deliver nationally consistent, responsive, and effective regulation of service providers. They seek to uphold the rights of, and promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of people with disability receiving supports or services.

The Role:
 
The APS6 Senior Graphic Designer delivers high-quality, accessible digital and print materials that align with agency branding. The role manages multiple design projects, supports brand governance, and contributes to key corporate publications. It involves stakeholder engagement, strategic creative input, and improving design tools and processes.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Design and produce digital and print materials that meet accessibility and brand standards
  • Lead multiple projects including Annual Reports, Corporate Plans, and communication campaigns
  • Maintain visual consistency and user-centred design across all platforms
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop engaging creative solutions
  • Support brand integrity through development of templates and design systems
  • Use data and insights to improve design effectiveness and workflow efficiency
Essential Criteria:
  • A passion for creative problem-solving and eagerness to adapt to new design challenges
  • Experience in user-centred design and strong knowledge of design principles
  • Extensive experience working with complex corporate documents
  • Ability to balance multiple projects involving a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in leading high-functioning design teams
Desirable Criteria:
  • 5+ years’ experience in similar roles
  • Highly developed skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG compliance)
  • Extensive experience in project management of complex corporate documents, preferably Annual Reports
