Job description

We are seeking a professional, personable, and results-driven Solicitor or Associate Wills & Estates Litigator to join a reputable South Australian legal firm. The role will see you working across a diverse mix of matters, including Wills, Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Estate Litigation, providing expert advice and high-quality service to a broad client base.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Interview clients and take detailed instructions with empathy and professionalism.
  • Draft and amend a range of documents, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Care Directives.
  • Manage estate administration files from start to finish.
  • Prepare and manage contested estate and litigation matters, including Family Provision claims.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare court documents, and assist in the resolution of disputes.
  • Liaise professionally with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Delegate and supervise tasks within the team, providing guidance to junior staff.
  • Work collaboratively to deliver timely and strategic outcomes for clients.
 
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years PAE practising in Wills, Estates, and/or Litigation law.
  • Experience in Wills (simple and complex), Powers of Attorney, Advance Care Directives, and Estate Administration.
  • Exposure to or experience in Estate Litigation, including contested Wills and Family Provision matters.
  • Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple files effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Commitment to professional development, ethical practice, and teamwork.
