We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to manage all testing activities across this large-scale transformation program.
A leading State Government department is delivering a major Finance Modernisation Project, transitioning from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud using a greenfield approach. The initiative is focused on modernising finance systems and streamlining processes across 21 client agencies, underpinned by a strong focus on customer self-service and standardisation.
Your Role
As Test Lead, you will lead the testing workstream for this end-to-end SAP program. You will develop test strategies, manage execution, coordinate resources, and ensure testing aligns with project timelines and quality standards. You’ll work closely with SAP consultants, developers, and stakeholders to ensure testing is rigorous, traceable, and delivers confidence in go-live readiness.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of test plans, scripts, cycles, and reporting
- Manage test defect processes, traceability, and sign-off procedures
- Coordinate system testing activities across project environments
- Guide and mentor testers, ensuring alignment to quality standards
- Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops and testing forums as required
- Oversee test environment setup and continuous improvement of testing practices
- Extensive experience managing testing in large-scale IT transformation projects
- Proven track record in SAP or S/4HANA testing (highly desirable)
- Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills in testing environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability
- Skilled in test documentation, risk management, and quality assurance
- Adaptable team player able to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB)
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA project environments
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and release management
- Be part of a major SAP transformation from the ground up
- Collaborate with skilled professionals in a high-performing team
- Support the delivery of improved finance services across multiple agencies
