Job description

We are seeking experienced policy professionals to join a team responsible for the development, conversion and implementation of operational policies and practice guidelines within a complex service delivery environment.

The Senior Policy Officer role focuses on research, analysis, drafting and stakeholder engagement to support policy development and implementation.

These roles will suit applicants with experience, or interest, in developing operational policy and guidelines within Government.

Key responsibilities
  • Undertake research and analysis to support evidence-based policy development.
  • Develop operational policies and practice guidelines in line with agreed frameworks and standards.
  • Liaise and consult with internal stakeholders to provide policy advice and support implementation.
  • Draft clear, concise and high-quality written materials, including policies, practice guidelines, submissions, reports, reports, fact sheets and internal communications.
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver work within agreed timeframes.
  • Contribute to monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks and issues.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
